Cinematographer, Filip Vandewal is known for his lucid, evocative images combining his natural aesthetic, distinct composition and elegant style.

His visual style has often been compared to three time Academy Award® Nominee Bruno Delbonnel.

Films he has worked on have won over a dozen major awards, have been screened at scores of international film festivals including Cannes and Clermont-Ferrand and won over $400,000 in prizes.

His first work on American soil, Flowers and Weeds, features Academy Award® Nominee Terrence Stamp with visual effects provided by Academy Award® Winner Mark Lassof and was produced by Five Island Films.

A Belgian native, Filip graduated from the Brussels film school RITS in 2003 and now resides in Los Angeles.
